Summary
Hazard Perception Practice ("we", "our", or "the App") doesn't collect personal information. There are no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking, and we don't ask for your name, email address or contact details.
Information Stored on Your Device
The App stores the following on your iPhone:
- Which state's test you're practising for
- Your practice progress and the result of your last attempt at each clip
- How many free mock tests you've taken today
- Whether you've bought Unlimited Tests
- Video clips you've already watched, so they play smoothly next time
This information stays on your device. It is not sent to us or to any third party.
Video Clips
The first time you watch a clip, the App downloads it from our video server, which is hosted by Cloudflare. As with any web request, the server receives your IP address and basic request details so it can deliver the clip. We don't keep request logs, we don't use this information to identify you, and we don't share it. Cloudflare's Privacy Policy is at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
In-App Purchases
If you buy Unlimited Tests, your payment is processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment details or Apple Account information. Apple's Privacy Policy is at apple.com/au/legal/privacy.
Children's Privacy
The App is designed for learner drivers preparing for the NSW or VIC hazard perception test, which you sit from age 16 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Your Choices
- Reset your progress: open Settings (the gear on the home screen) and tap Reset Practice Progress.
- Remove downloaded clips: in Settings, tap Clear Downloaded Clips.
- Uninstall: deleting the App permanently removes everything it stored on your device.
Because we don't hold personal information about you, there is usually nothing for us to access or correct. If you have a question about your information under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, please contact us using the details below.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and update the copy in the App.

Hazard Perception Practice is an independent practice app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Transport for NSW, VicRoads or any government agency.
